The Collectors' Information Bureau's (CIB) third annual Collector's Choice Awards was kicked off in the fall of 2008.  Manufacturers worldwide submitted their 2008 collectibles for nomination for the award.  A panel of expert judges have selected the top 5 entries in each of 11 categories.

Now, it’s your turn to vote. The list of nominee items is posted on the Collectors' Information Bureau website so collectors can view the entries and cast their ballots." The deadline for voting is April 15, 2009.

Once the vote is in, the winners will be posted on the CIB website and featured in the Fall 2008 issue of Collector Editions. Winning manufacturers will be recognized at a national show later this year.

Jim Shore will be at the American Quilter's Society Show and Contest at The National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky on April 23rd and 24th, 2009.  
 

The museum will host a Jim Shore Autograph session in the Museum Lobby from 10 a.m.-noon and 2-4 p.m.  A dinner benefitting the Museum will follow from 5-7 p.m. at the Whaler’s Catch French Quarter. Jim Shore will be speaking on his techniques and offering personalized autographs.   A special piece of his work will be auctioned during the Museum's LIVE AUCTION on Thursday, April 23, 5 p.m. at the Carson Center. He will give a personalized autograph to the winning bidder!
